Likely a Bad Cold
Nov. 2nd, 2021 05:38 pmI do not recommend changing a flat tire before leaving to go to the doctor for a bad cold. :-)
At any rate, been feeling pretty bad the past few days, including two episodes of chills late at night. However, I don't seem to have had a fever. Just feel vaguely achy and contested, as well as light-headed. I spent most of Tuesday morning in bed. I already had a doctor's appointment at 3:30. The day before I noted that a tire on my car was low. I topped it off and planned to get to Goodyear. Nope. Too sick the next day.
In fact, when I checked the car at a little before 2:00 the tire was completely flat. So flat I had to add air to get the jack in position under the frame. Putting the spare on wasn't a huge problem, and I still got to the office in plenty of time.
There I failed (Passed?) the flu test. I wasn't likely to have influenza, since I had the annual vaccine a month before, but at least this was confirmed. To be thorough they also took samples for a COVID-19 test, but the results for that won't be in for 48 hours.
The doctor said I probably had a bad cold. To stay home, rest and get plenty of fluids, and wait to get better.
Ah, well...
