Weather Woes
Mar. 16th, 2014 05:00 pmLast year on my return trip from MillenniCon ( http://www.millennicon.org/ ) I left early to avoid a blizzard, and wound up driving right into it. Not fun, though I got home safely.
This year the weather was supposed to turn bad in the evening. However, on Sunday, as forecasts grew worse, I decided to leave even earlier than last year, and took I-75 then I-64, instead of I-71 then US 127.
The rain started just south of Cincinnati, and was soon mixed with sleet. As I arrived in Frankfort it as mostly sleet, though the roads were still clear. Looked outside a few minutes ago - about an hour after getting home - and it's blowing slow, though the pavement remains clear. The forecast now is for continuing snow overnight, though they didn't give any accumulation. Don't know whether I really needed to leave so early, but I'm not sad I did.
For some reason I was sleepy the entire con, despite sleeping well before and during. Went to take a nap after lunch Saturday and woke almost three hours later.
I suspect I'm fighting a low-grade sinus infection. Though it could just be allergies. The wind Friday and Sunday stirred up a huge amount of allergens, and while the rain Saturday settled those it also brought out the mold spores.
