Ow. Ow. Ow. Ow.

Lower left back has been bothering me off and on for three weeks. Took some naproxen sodium yesterday and it seemed to help. However, I woke in considerable pain this morning. Took an ibuprofen, then another (max recommended dose on the bottle) then applied Icy Hot. Tolerable, now.

Called and have 2:50 appointment at doctors'.

Need to have this taken care of. Not only am I flying out to San Antonio for WorldCon Wednesday, I need to cut my grass before I go.

WorldCon Woes

I may have to skip WorldCon. I woke in so much pain this morning I called after breakfast (when it was clear the maximum dose of ibuprofen wasn't helping) and saw the Physician's Assistant this afternoon. She believes I injured my sacrum.

Bizarrely, the injury was two weeks ago today, when I lifted something heavy to take out the trash. It wasn't major and was getting better, until last night. Naproxen sodium helped a bit then. This morning, though, I didn't even try it, but went straight to the ibuprofen.

If I'm not better by tomorrow afternoon I'll have to cancel. Worse, I think my airline tickets are non-refundable. :-(
