Planned to get up early (for a Saturday) and go to the Derby Breakfast today. I knew the weather was supposed to be marginal, but figured if I didn't go I'd use the extra time to get ready for the LexFA Derby Party without rushing. I didn't count on being up half the night.
First I had sinus problems; after I was able to breath through my nose again, I started getting odd, shooting pains in my joints and teeth. Likely both of these were symptoms of the front moving in. I finally turned the alarm off, and managed to sleep until about 10:30.
When I eventually got out of bed and looked outside, the weather was cold, wet and windy. Since I planned to walk over to the Derby Breakfast (I can hear and almost see it from my front porch) the unpleasant weather meant I wouldn't have gone, anyway.
I managed to go last year (images still at: http://jade.rahul.net/~rodsmith/images/DerbyTrainBreakfast/ ) so I'm only mildly disappointed.
