Sneaky Cat
Sep. 6th, 2012 09:29 amWhile I let my cats in my home office during the day, at night I usually chase them out and close the door before I go to bed. Last night I shooed Motley out and closed the door.
As I lay in bed, dozing, before the alarm came on I kept hearing thumping sounds. I thought maybe the empty house next door was being worked on prior to selling.
Later, as I went through my morning routine, I approached the office door to open it and start the computer for the day. I saw Motley in the hall outside the door, waiting. I also saw a white paw sticking under the door.
Inside was Michael, who seemed glad to see me.
Fortunately, he didn't damage anything or mess. However, he seemed eager to get outside when I unblocked the cat flap. :-)
I'm still recovering from WorldCon, and was so groggy last night I forgot to check for a second cat.
