The Great Galactic Ghoul Strikes Again.

_Phobos-Grunt_ is stuck in Earth orbit after it fails to orient itself for proper burn for Mars. Engineers are still trying to figure out the problem and correct or bypass it. The probe is still on battery power, which has about a day to go.

Up Too Early

Just about half an hour before the clock radio would have started playing _Morning Edition_, there was a power blip. I know about this because every operational UPS in the house beeped once. That was more than enough to wake me.

Stayed in bed trying to get that last half hour of sleep, but didn't really even doze. Oh, well; wasn't planning to go anywhere today, so plenty of opportunities for a nap later.
