I put a bit of sunflower seed oil in a skillet, added fresh-ground black pepper, sweet basil and thyme, then finely minced garlic. Stirred that around good. Put the heat on low and let it simmer to bring out the flavor while I finished thawing the steaks. Now the steaks are in the skillet with the lid on, slowly simmering a bit to make sure they get hot all the way through before I turn the heat up.
