It Was a Cold, Still Night

My power finally went off, around 1:20. Came back on around 2:40. Long enough for two of my UPSes to run down, so now I have to reset my VCRs. Oh, well; at least I didn't get cold.

Partly this is luck. Partly this is due to the electrical service in my neighborhood being thoroughly upgraded in recent years. We used to have serious problems with power going out in even high winds. Now we're better off than most folks in Frankfort.
