Was trimming weeds beside my driveway. Gathered an armful to put on my compost heap and stood.

Right under the big AC unit in my dining room window.

This just supports my belief that all yard work is dangerous.

Retirement Aggravation

Great. Retirement Systems sent a letter saying they had miscalculated my retirement benefits. Not only will I now get just over $100 per month less, but I have to pay them back the overage.

I heard unpleasant things about their competence before retiring, and my post-retirement experience bears this out.

Oh, and they sent it by registered letter. Nothing else I've had from them has been by registered letter, but this thing, delivering bad news, was.

I wonder if I'll have to go through this all over again when my Deferred Compensation deduction kicks in...
