Sep. 19th, 2006 06:39 pmMy uncle, who had been fighting leukemia for over a year, died this morning. When I saw him Saturday the doctors had given him two weeks, but we pretty much knew that was optimistic. He had been moved into the Hospice wing of Saint Joseph's in Lexington, Kentucky Sunday.
In the past year and a half I have lost my father, my last grandparent and now my uncle. I'm not alone in this, either; I have a sizable extended family. So please think of us for the next few days.
