Jul. 29th, 2006 11:37 amYesterday, there was a brief (a few minutes long) but very intense shower as I was going to work after a doctor visit. When I approached the first turn in our parking garage, at ground level, I saw water geysering up from the floor drains. The vertical drain pipes had filled so quickly from the water hitting the upper deck directly and blowing in on the other decks that it couldn't move into the sewer fast enough.
What's really embarrassing about this situation (probably another of our new facility's infamous design flaws) is that this is the Transportation Cabinet's building. :-( You'd think the highway department would have a garage with good drainage.
