I an alternate universe with advanced tech created by "rogue" technologists, I could see a few dirigibles using things like graphene, carbon fiber and buckytubes to be a *lot* stronger and lighter.
Wouldn't make for fleets of them, but you'd have a few super-airships to make things interesting.
