Superb Animation

stickmakerI've long been a fan of the Fleischer Brothers Superman cartoons. I have several commercial VHS tapes of varying quality and wanted more. Recently, I purchased the Bazooka collection. The images and sound were both muddy, the latter "enhanced" with modern stock sound effects which were much louder than the actual sound track and completely out of place, greatly distracting from the films.
However, I also purchased the Bosco (Complete Diamond Anniversary Edition) DVD. This is wonderful. They went back to the original 35mm masters and cleaned up the images and sound as much as they reasonably could. The result is the best image and sound of these cartoons I have seen. I strongly recommend this.
