Busy Week

For the past week I was busy scanning old photos (prints, unfortunately, rather than negatives) for a slideshow to present at my Mother's 80th birthday party. This was held yesterday (Saturday) and despite some last-minute technical problems (the church's DVD player wouldn't read the disc I burned - the first time I've encountered that - and we had to use a very indirect way to get the backup images on my laptop's hard drive to the TV: We finally copied them onto a SDHC card plugged into another MacBook connected to my MacBook by cable; the card was then plugged into a socket on the TV) the presentation went well.

So, I've been busy and distracted this week, plus had to deal with a two-hour power outage caused by storms Friday night, _then_ the technical problems. If I've seemed a bit scattered, now you know why. :-)
