All In Order for 4500 Years
Dec. 17th, 2013 11:53 pmIn Wadi Gawasis a few years ago, in caves around a sandy area which used to be a harbor, Egyptologists found wood - both raw lumber and finished parts - tools and tackle for maintaining and repairing ships. This was a major repair facility before the area silted up and filled in with sand. Most amazing were coils of heavy rope, left where the workers put them, nearly 4500 years ago:
