Economic Homicide
Feb. 9th, 2011 06:27 pmTook my 2005 Mustang in this afternoon for the 45k mile servicing. I mentioned that the battery had grunge on the terminals and there was an odd grinding noise from the driver's side of the engine compartment when starting during cold weather.
Besides the usual, it wound up needing a new battery (which they had on hand) and starter (which they didn't).
Note that the problem with the starter is not the Bendix. Something inside the starter is grinding.
So, I go back tomorrow, they install the new starter, and I pay them a *lot* of money. :-(
