Shocking...

Well, after giving up on my first choice (they didn't return my call, after two promises to do so) I've called around to three different contractors to have estimates on some electrical work done in my home.

I have long lusted after these, and finally bought one. It arrived via UPS yesterday. I've spent a large part of today - in several installments - putting it together.

For those unfamiliar, these are kinetic sculpture kits you can assemble in an infinite variety of ways. Yellow balls of hard plastic are lifted on a chain belt and then proceed to run a gauntlet of ramps, curved, loops, bounces and spins, often ringing bells or performing other tasks on the way.

I just got my first recirculation setup going. It still needs some fine tuning; there's about a 20% loss rate per cycle. It's also pretty straightforward and simple. (Well, I just started.)
