Casablanca
Jan. 9th, 2007 06:04 pmI recently (and finally, after two months of waiting which included resubmitting the order after Amazon canceled it) received a CD with the soundtrack for _Casablanca_.
I was actually a bit disappointed. Most movie soundtrack albums are the pieces of music as played in the movie but presented independently. This is excerpts from the actual movie soundtrack, excapt it also includes two studio tracks as you would find on a more typical soundtrack album.
There is not, for example, a complete rendition of "As Time Goes By." On the other hand, it includes the musical duel between "Die Watch am Rhein" and "La Marseillaise" including some dialog before and after. Which is perhaps my favorite scene from the movie.
So while I still don't have a complete "As Time Goes By" I'm very satisfied. :-)
