Antibiotic Side-Effects

I have a history of antibiotics causing gut trouble. Up until about 9 last night this course of amoxycilin was treating me pretty easy. Then the cramps and diarrhea started. Nausea came later, though it never quite got bad enough to make me vomit.

The flushing was over by around 3AM, and I managed to drop to sleep. However, I was very dry, because even a sip of water would start the cramps again. Gradually those eased, and I was able to drink.

This morning I am very week but no longer feel sick. Gonna call the doctor in a bit and explain that I had to quit the antibiotic a few days early.

And I was feeling so much better before all this...

The doctor's office thinks I have an intestinal virus which is going 'round. I did the right thing stopping the Amoxicilin, though; it would only further irritate my gut. This lasts 24/48 hours, and I'm already feeling better. With luck I'll be fine by evening. (Crossing fingers.)
