It Just Figures

stickmakerWent to bed early last night, partly because I was tired from my trip but mostly because I had to get up early this morning. I had a contractor coming by sometime after eight to do some electrical work.
Guess which night the power went off?
Yep. A little after Midnight, I was awakened by the beeping of the UPSes. Power appeared to be off for the whole neighborhood. It stayed off for about forty-five minutes. Then I was able to go back to bed and resume my slumbers.
At 8:35 the contractor called. He apologized, and said he couldn't make it today, but would tomorrow at 9:00 be okay? I said yes. Now I am going to take a nap.
