I'm having some odd aggravations at MidAmeriCon II (The San Jose WorldCon). Two different coffee shops (one of which proudly listed butter croissants on their menu board) had croissants but no butter. 

 

I'm also having strange equipment failures. My pad - which I primarily use to show photos at cons - has developed a bulge in its back and won't lay flat. It also won't boot properly, even when plugged in. The case is sealed; if this is all due to the battery going bad there doesn't seem to by any way to replace that.

 

I tried four different ways to post preliminary con photos to Flickr from my laptop, but even though I can log into my account, when I try the upload I'm taken to a Flickr page which says I'm not authorized to access! 

 

I took the lens cap off my primary camera and put it in my camera bag. It wasn't there when I looked later. Or anywhere else I thought to look!

Now, my Internet connection at my hotel keeps dropping!

 

Finally, the TV in my room will play sound, but there's no picture!
