Hazy, With a Chance of Meteors
Oct. 21st, 2013 12:13 pmFor some reason, the area being explored by the Curiosity rover seems to have far more dust and/or haze than any previous Mars lander/rover site. This goes all the way back to the Viking landers.
The few reasonably clear images I've seen reveal high peaks and steep cliffs in the distance, in many places showing distinct layering.
