Out of Touch
Jan. 24th, 2012 09:32 amI will be spending a large part of the day at Central Baptist Hospital in downtown Lexington, Kentucky. My Mother's doctor ordered two tests last week, and wants her to have a heart catheterization today. He and the specialists suspect a partial blockage of a heart artery. If they find that today they'll insert a stent and keep her overnight. If they don't, she gets to go home today, and they start all over trying to find why she sometimes gets short of breath.
This is all pretty routine stuff these days and no complications are expected. That doesn't mean there won't be any. However, with luck I'll be back home and at my computer by this evening.

She's fine. The doctor said her heart is strong, but she had partial blockages at two sites in the same artery, so they put stents in.
My sister met us there and is staying with her tonight.
