Chemically Induced Ignorance

Reading a digest for an e-mail list earlier, I groans as someone claiming to be "a real barman" stated as fact that 200 proof alcohol is rarely seen because it evaporates almost immediately on contact with oxygen.

Fortunately, someone with actual knowledge of chemistry politely corrected him.
