Touchy

A few months back I bought a refurbished, bottom-of-the-line Cruz tablet. I figured for the money that it cost it would let me evaluate whether I wanted a better one, without much lost if I decided not to.

For the things I want to do - mainly showing photos and having portable access to my files and basic Internet - it's okay. However, the touch screen system does not work well for me. Others who have tried it have far less trouble. I'm wondering if this is due to the nerve problems in my hands, or what.

I think I need to go to Wal-Mart and try the touch screens on several brands and models. If the problem is me, I know touch screens are not for me. If it's just this model or brand or low-end models in general, or even if only some some work reliably for me, I'll seriously think about getting a much better device before convention season.

You might try seeing if using a stylus would work better than youf finger on the touch screen. You can get one at Walgreens for $5.

Touch screen technology -- and accuracy! -- varies immensely from device to device. Be sure to try out both android and apple products, from as many vendors as you can manage...
