Mustang!

I really like my 2005 Mustang, but it's not perfect. My biggest complaint is too well-mannered. It doesn't even sound like a performance car.

Of course, I have reason to be biased. My 1990 5.0 has an aftermarket exhaust system which has been known to set off car alarms while I'm looking for a parking space.

When the heck did you get a 2005? And why? Why not go for a 2006? They've got more muscle to the engine, I think.

What color?

The 2006 is identical to the 2005. Metal Fire Red.

The 2007 model year brings the Shelby GT500 Mustang, which a bigger, more powerful engine.

In my opinion a smoother running machine nets more performance as there's less energy lost; it's just a matter of getting that energy cranked up fast enough in that smooth manner, is all.

This isn't a matter of whether either engine runs smooth; they both do. The older car has a deep, burbling exhaust note a low RPM and some car alarms are set too sensitive.
