Very Angry, Indeed

Two years ago, Chase Visa mistook 1500.00 in a payment I sent them as 15.00. Since this was below the minimum payment, I was charged a penalty. I called and protested, but was snidely told there was nothing they could do.

I used a balance transfer to pay off most of the balance, and cut back on using the card. However, they had the lowest interest rate, so I eventually built my balance back up.

This month, they mistook 1300.00 for 13.00. I have already cut my card into little, little pieces. Next statement, I'll use a balance transfer to close out the account.

Yeah, they still have the lowest interest rate. I don't care anymore. Besides, if they make repeated, stupid mistakes like that, what other mistakes are they making?

And I don't mean that in the fun and adventurous way either.

If you have a record of the payment, it sounds to me as though they are not making a mistake. It sounds more to me as though they are committing fraud against you. I would suggest contacting the KY Attorney General's office and see what they might be able to do.

Agreed. The "we can't do anything about it" is BS. Legally, they *have* to fix that kind of shit, even if you have to jump thru some hoops along the way.

Besides, Jack Conway is running for re-election, isn't he? A little investigation like this might be what he needs to make some of us forget about "Aqua Buddha."

And people wonder why I don't trust any credit card company. Best to stay away as much as possible.
