It's a Conspiracy...

Gluh. Really needed a nap after breakfast - seems the earlier I go to bed the less sleep I get - but had to finish a few things first. Got those done, listened to the 11:00 new, then sat down in the recliner, leaned it back, put my feet on the stood and closed my eyes.

The UPSes started cycling. No beeping, but they'd all click, and one hummed afterwards. Also, one of the desk lamps beside my iMac blinked off and took several tries to restart.

About two minutes later, it happened again.

I eventually managed a brief nap, but woke to a noise (not sure what). Now it's too close to Noon to try again.

Now watch, tomorrow, someone will call and get me out of bed early, hanging up just as I reach the phone... (Yes, this has happened, and more than once.)

Get some dipenyhydramine hcl, a white/pink/brown noise generator, a bunch of really thick blinds for windows, and some melatonin.

And maybe put the phone closer to the bed.

I let the answering machine pick up, due to flood of telemarketer calls. (Yes, I'm on the Do Not Call list. It doesn't help.)

Or put your shooting range earplugs in before naptime. (I started sleeping w/earplugs working 3rd shift.)
