Influence

I'm pretty certain at least one person at the History Channel reads my Joy of High Tech posts. (At:

http://www.dcr.net/~stickmak/JOHT/

worksafe)

I have noticed that a year or two after I posted a work on a topic, a History Channel program on the same topic will appear. The connection between the program and my work varies, sometimes greatly. However, there's more to it that this, which might be coincidence.

Shortly after I posted the JOHT on secret weapons of WWII I got an e-mail from Hugo Macgregor
at the London offices of Principal Films, asking if I would be willing to appear on one of their programs as a WWII radar expert! Since I'm not anything such, I declined.

Cool! What *do* you consider yourself a qualified expert for, historically? Also, did you get my reply email?

Nothing. I'm just a good researcher.

Yeah. Didn't think I needed to reply to it.

Okay, no problem, as long as you understand what I said and found the relevant parts. See you at gaming! :)
