Eventful 12 Hours
My mother had cataract surgery yesterday. My sister to her to Lexington for the procedure, then stayed with her most of the day back here; I took over in the afternoon and stayed the night. Meanwhile...
The good news is, my grandmother is much more active and alert. The bad news is this led her to get out of her nursing home bed at 2 AM and fall. No serious harm, and they're watching her more carefully, now.
Since there was no emergency, my mother got me up early (after a night of trouble sleeping due to major stomach upset and no antacid) and I went by to see her around 7. She seemed fine. So. I went home, fed my cats, fed me, got dressed and drove my mother to Lexington for her first post-op exam. Everything fine. We stopped and saw my grandmother on the way back to my mother's place. She was sitting up in a wheelchair in the dining room, where they're playing bingo. (Though she wasn't.)
Took my mother home, I'm off shift. After lunch I have to go back to work for the first time since I left last Thursday. And I'm just about out on my feet. Oog...
