stickmaker | It's a Conspiracy...

Went to bed early Saturday night, after being very sleepy all day. (Tried a
nap after lunch but there was too much ambient noise.) Not ten minutes after
closing my eyes I heard heavy trucks outside.

Starting at the intersection just downhill from my house and running past it
to the other side of the duplex uphill from me were two ambulances, a police
car and two police vans. The focus of their attention was a heavily loaded
pickup in front of the driveway two houses uphill.

No idea what was going on. I saw the police speaking with a couple of older
men who were apparently connected with the pickup. After about twenty minutes
they all cleared out. The pickup last.

Finally, sleep.
