Kids! Comics!

My favorite comics these days are _Love and Capes_ (now _Love and Capes Ever After_) and _Atomic Robo_.

Both series have many issues out and are still going strong.

_Love and Capes_ is about Abby and Mark. She's a bookstore owner. He's an accountant. And also the world's mightiest superhero in his other job. These are stories which are basically about a nice couple and their friends, with the added complications of a not-too-serious super hero life for one of them. While there is lots of humor, here, much of it involving playing with superhero/villain tropes, there's also drama. Some issues have been very serious. Most are pretty light, though.

_Atomic Robo_ was built by Nicola Tesla. He was built to be Tesla's son and successor. However, an early exposure to pulp magazines led him to frequent adventures. The stories go back and forth from the Thirties to current time. Sometimes repeatedly in one story. Robo has a history in his world, and not all of it is good. Thomas Edison's "ghost" (an orgone replica) occasionally haunts him. Carl Sagan tricked Robo into riding one of the Viking probes to Mars in the Seventies, because Robo keeps pointing out flaws in Sagan's world view. _Atomic Robo_ has much humor, super science and occasional drama.
