Not a Mature Technology
Was going to scan some negatives this afternoon, but the scanner managing software keeps telling me the actual scanner software isn't installed. Even tried restoring from backup; no dice.
Went online. They want the product serial number to re-download the software. Guess what I can't find? No disc, no manual, nothing. I checked the registration confirmation e-mail. It doesn't have the number.
Their Web site was designed by a sadist, and kept listing links to exactly what I wanted, only the link didn't go there. I finally, after more than three hours, found an online report form. None of the choices for problem matched mine, but I picked something close and described what was actually going on in the comments. Hopefully, someone there will have a solution.
