Krypton? Ite!
Geologists recently announced that a previously unknown mineral found in Serbia has some of the properties of kryptonite, as described in the recent Superman movie: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/6584229.stm (worksafe, unless your boss is from Krypton)
Why didn't they just come straight to Krypton, Kentucky? I used to work with a guy from there. You don't mess with those folks. It's near Neon. Now merged with Flemming, to produce the entity Flemming-Neon.
Apparently, when those towns were established they were named after the then-recently-discovered noble gasses.
